House of Respite Cut Scene
INT. HALLWAY NIGHT
David walks up the hall. As he gets closer to the library the door glows. He walks through the open door, as someone else closes it.
INT LIBRARY - NIGHT
The walls are covered from floor to ceiling with books. Each section has an attached ladder and metal piping system to make it move from one side of the area to another.
[Game Play} Walking forward the player picks up the first book that turns out to be a picture book which is weirdly thick and heavy like a that of a three hundred page hardcover book.
DAVID
Wow this book is so heavy,I don't remember it being so heavy. But I do remember Aunt Sissy reading this to me when my parents died and I lived with her. That Player can choose to put the book down or sit and look at the book.
David picks up picture of him and his family. He keeps walking but the picture book glows.
David puts down the picture and walks deeper into the library. He sees another photo; it is of his parents with his grandmother and aunt.
He walks back to the picture book. He opens the book which has many more pictures and words for such a thin book.
DAVID
This book is so heavy! I don't know why since it is fifteen pages. That should be extremely light.
As he says that the book glows. David yells and drops the book. He starts grabbing at his neck and clothes.
DAVID
Get off me now! Get off of me ! Don't make me say it again! Get off of me !!
David falls to the floor as the book is still glowing and moving in his arms.
David wakes up and stands with the book. He walks to a chair. He opens the book.
DAVID
There are so many different pictures. Oooo Ma... I miss you so much. You made me feel so much better about life.
David turns a page or two in the book.
DAVID
Dad... fuck you! I can forgive but forget? I can't ever with you.
David sits in the chair for a long time. He stand and puts the book in its place. He sits again and puts his head in his hands and his shoulders shake from crying. Something lands in his pocket, glowing.
(VO) SISSY
As much as I would like wait... I need you to leave. Miles and I want to enjoy the house. So time to move on, acceptance is the key. Remember that, acceptance is the key to everything in life.
David touches the pocket of his sweatpants. He looks down as he grabs something out of his pocket.
He pulls out a stone. It glow on and off very quickly. As he stand and walks the stone's tempo changes.
When he stops moving it just glows. When he moves towards the door it glows and pulsates bright lightly and quickly.
When he moves from the door the glowing and pulsating slows.
He quickly chooses a path out. He walks towards the door before slowing down. He places the book on a shelf that had a "M" sign. The first book he sees in that section is "maternity." He laughs and moved towards the door. He walks out of the door into a darken hallway.
INT.HALLWAY - NIGHT
There are pieces of furniture that are seen in silhouette.
[Game play]
David walks out of the door and towards the first door. The rock is a rock not glowing or moving. He walks to the next door the rock begins to glow. He walks past five doors. He is only tempted once to go into the room and, he knew it, not return.
He walks to the second from last room on the floor. There was a scratching and breathing noise that came from the door. He walks quickly away.
He walks up to two doors. One glows, pulsates and makes a weird noise. The second door does the same thing but at a much smaller level.
(VO) SISSY
Seems you found the fist key. Beware, each level has a lock and some obstacles. Then again you are holding your own huh? The last guy the screaming from his death; while satisfying long and drawn out. Much more satisfying then what you have been through.
David walks towards the hallway the splits into two. Turning left the rock glows and pulsates. Turing to the right the rock glows and pulsates. Turning to the left the rock glows and pulsates.
